Champions of Justice
Extraordinary volunteers and community leaders are formally recognized at our Champions of Justice luncheons, held once a year in Reno for Northern Nevada and Las Vegas for Southern Nevada. At each of these ceremonies, distinguished attorneys, judges, and community leaders are invited to meet and congratulate our outstanding pro bono attorneys and partners for their significant contributions in support of our mission to provide access to justice for those in need.

About Champions of Justice
In 2010, Nevada Legal Services (NLS) created the Champions of Justice Award to give recognition to those who significantly support access to justice for all Nevadans by providing or promoting pro bono assistance. The dedication of our awardees has greatly increased the ability of Nevada Legal Services and our sister organizations to meet the ever-increasing demand for our assistance. NLS is fortunate to have many generous volunteers throughout the state who participate in our pro bono programs. We also thank the many individuals and groups beyond the legal community who support our organization and help us provide legal aid services to low-income Nevadans.
NOTICE: Nevada Legal Services is funded in part by the Legal Services Corporation. As a condition of the funding it receives from LSC, Nevada Legal Services is restricted from engaging in certain activities in all of its legal work – including work supported by other funding sources. Nevada Legal Services may not expend any funds for any activity prohibited by the Legal Services Corporation Act 42 U.S.C. 2996 et seq or by Public Law 104-134. Public Law 104-134 requires that notice of these restrictions be given to all funders of programs funded by LSC.
