Project Spotlight: Veterans Law Project

Program Spotlight: Veterans Law Project
By Morgan Shah, Esq.

Through grant funding provided by the VA and the Nevada Bar Foundation, Nevada Legal Services’ Veterans Law Project proudly serves low-income, homeless, and at-risk veterans statewide with free legal advice and representation to protect their rights. The Veterans Law Project offers a range of services to address common legal problems affecting low-income veterans, including assistance with VA benefits claims, evictions, tenant’s rights, public benefit issues, and record sealing.

Many veterans come to us by way of referral from veteran service providers throughout the state; however, veterans in need are welcome to request assistance directly by contacting any NLS office, completing on online intake application, or visiting one of our many outreach events which take place throughout the year at a variety of locations across the state.

Those in the Las Vegas area are encouraged to visit the upcoming Veterans Stand Down on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the World Market Expo downtown to access a wide range of services on-site. Learn more about the upcoming Veterans Stand Down event at:
