Nevada Legal Services’ Litigation Director David Olshan recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award in connection with Vegas Inc’s 2022 Top Lawyers publication.  Although he is not one to seek public praise, we are thrilled to see David receive this well-deserved honor.  

David has committed his career to public service, having spent 32 years (and counting) fighting for the rights of our community’s most vulnerable residents.  Whether defending against a wrongful eviction or seeking bankruptcy relief from medical debt, David has prevented imminent homelessness and paved a way forward for his clients time and again.  David’s advocacy has also helped shape the law through precedent-setting cases regarding issues ranging from the rights of unemployed workers to an individual’s ability to obtain a U.S. Passport that accurately reflects their gender identity.

Colleagues and clients alike attest to David’s careful preparation and passion for the work.  As the leader of Nevada Legal Services’ litigation efforts statewide, David maintains a singular focus on delivering high quality legal services to those who would otherwise be left without representation.  David truly leads by example, and we are proud to have him on our team.
