Staff Attorney - Core Services (Housing/Public Benefits) - Las Vegas

Nevada Legal Services has an opening for an attorney to join our core services department assisting pro bono clients, primarily in matters concerning tenant’s rights, eviction defense, subsidized housing, public benefits, criminal record sealing, and eviction record sealing matters. Legal issues the attorney may face can change depending on the needs of our client communities. We provide generous paid sick and vacation time and employer-paid medical insurance, as well as dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan. Salary depends on experience, with the range starting at $70,000.

Northern nevada - Reno office

Indian Law Project Staff Attorney - Reno

Nevada Legal Services has an opening for a staff attorney within our Indian Law-Project (ILP).  Nevada Legal Services is a statewide non-profit that provides free legal assistance to low-income Nevadans across the state. The Indian Law Project is based out of our Reno office and serves the 27 Native American tribes and colonies within the State of Nevada. This position will be based out of our Reno office.

ILP provides a wide range of services to both tribal members and tribal governments based upon the needs expressed by each community. In that capacity, the Program acts as public defender in a number of tribal jurisdictions, provides legal assistance in various civil matters, and represents tribes in ICWA proceedings. ILP also conducts clinical programs, outreaches, and training sessions for a variety of tribal courts. Frequent travel throughout Nevada, including overnight stays, is required.

Social Media Coordinator - Las Vegas

Nevada Legal Services is seeking an energetic self-starter with a keen eye for detail to join our team.  You will be responsible for maintaining social media sites, website, press releases and press relations, newsletters, and other printed PR materials.  This person will work with staff responsible for creating content for the various media outlets, make recommendations for improving media operations and outreach.  We provide generous paid sick and vacation time and employer-paid medical insurance, as well as dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plan.
