Important SNAP Benefits Update

Due to recent changes in federal law, Nevada SNAP recipients aged 18–64 who do not meet specific criteria may no longer receive SNAP benefits as of February 28, 2026.

You may lose your SNAP benefits if you:

  • Are not pregnant;
  • Are not a member of a federally recognized Indian Tribe;
  • Do not have a child under age 14 in your SNAP household;
  • Do not receive temporary or permanent disability benefits, such as SSI or SSDI;
  • Have not submitted appropriate proof that you are unable to work; and
  • Have not submitted proof that you have completed at least 20 hours per week of approved work, training, or community service activities.

Veterans, homeless individuals, former foster youth, and seniors age 55-64 are no longer exempt from work requirements.
